damn wreckless drivers

me and 2 of my friends are cruising to dinner going about 40 in a 45 when some about 96 sentra blows past us going about 75. so i stomp it to catch him and when he sees this he slams on his brakes so i can hit him. so i pull into the next lane at the red light next to him and hes cursing at me like a thug dizzle and flashing some wooden stick. so me and my friends laugh at him and i pull out my maglite flashlight and waive it back at him then i point forward and say lets go. so light turns green and he takes off i gave him a 1/4 car jump then i took off and by 1st gear i was at least 1 car length ahead. i let off the gas and a few seconds later he comes flying up but the light turns red. so i stop at the red light, he goes through it then flashes his brake lights. i had to teach this wreckless punk a lesson. and i know street racing is bad but i didnt have to go past 40 to spank him so i wasnt even going faster than the speed limit.

I don't understand why people have such a hard time with others driving fast. Why would you try to catch up to him? You're just starting trouble. Its like when someone sits in the left lane and prvents people from driving fast. Don't monitor other peoples behavior.

So call the cops on him. All you did was make him break another law and blow the red light possibly hitting someone. Some shia just isn't worth it.

I had a similar thing happen to me this weekend on the Northern State Parkway in LI. There was a souped up (well, coffee can tail pipe) Sentra SE-R that was waving in and out of traffic driving like a maniac. I kept on getting infront of him (although I wasn't racing ) I think because he kept getting stuck behind people in the right lane.

Anyway, he blows past me and about a 1/2 mile later I see his car crawling along in the right lane with his flashers on. I think he may have blown something in the engine.

I had to laugh because he was driving in a way that was endangering other people. I have no problem driving fast (or street racing for that matter) but I will never cut people off or cause a situation that will cause an accident. I leave that for when people cut me off or go too slow in the left lane. I've actually slammed on my brakes from 50 MPH to teach people not to block me

Who died and made you a policeman? Keep doing what you are doing and someone is going to either jump out of their car and teach you a lesson, or worse yet pull a gun out of their glove box and pop ya!

Remember you are dealing with someone with no regard for their own or others personal safety. For all you know this loser could think he's driving Playstation or something and that he's indestructible. Or you could be scaring an inexperienced driver into doing something that could endanger themselves, you or others.

Let it go. If he's pulling a stunt where none's gonna get hurt, flip him the bird. If he is enangering himself or others, call the cops! Chill out dude!

How did you know he was a wreckless, i.e., never been in a wreck, driver? I'm glad he was not a reckless driver where your street racing could have resulted in his first wreck.

How true! I mean stomping on it to catch him itself can be considered wreckless...and guess who would be screwed had you rear-ended him. It would be his word against yours as to the speeding, but there is NO misinterpreting (at least as far as laws and insurance perception goes) that YOU hit HIM.

Alas, my odd sense of humor has failed me again. I was trying to point out that there’s no such
word as wreckless. You both mean “reckless”.

Please don't. Am I the only one to see the problem with slamming your brakes while driving for no reason. I've had people do this to me and the only thing they accomplish is narrowly avoiding a accident. What are they going to tell the cop, "he was speeding and I didn't like it so I slammed on my brakes for no reason"? That is if he gets to talk to to the cop b/c I really hate stupidity and things like that **** me off to no end. Living in PA only exasperates this issue since no one can drive here(I'm originally from Jersey if that helps you understand how I drive) If you don't like how others drive, just move over and let them by, all you accomplish by acting like a cop is increasing the liklihood of getting into an accident with them. It boggles my mind that people who do this don't seem to think about there own car since they are the likely ones to get hit. Also, would it make you happy if someone swerved off the road and got killed just b/c you "didn't like" their driving. I fail to see how speeding is inherently unsafe given certain condition, like a clear, dry highway where you can see everything. I think some people are just jealous that they don't have the ***** to speed sometimes or do it b/c they need a "power" fix. That is just sad.

While I am definately not condoning stomping on the brakes, the guy in front of you is probably letting you know that you are following a bit too close. You alway have to leave enough of a distance so that if the guy in front of you does have to hit the brakes for an emergency you do not plow into him.

I really do understand where you are coming from. When I moved from Chicago to New Mexico there was about a two year period of adjustment.

I completely understand the safety aspect, but slamming the brakes is completely unsafe. Also, I wouldn't have to be so close if drivers would just move over when they see someone coming up on them hard. It seems like no one knows about the stay right unless to pass rule. I admit that I "may" sometimes drive a little aggressively, but that doesn't give others the right to try and teah me a lesson. Everyone should just drive as if they were behind themselves, then they would understand why it gets so very annoying to have idiot drivers on the road. I know that when I do drive slowly, I'm in the right lane almost instantly after I pass someone and if I see someone coming, I move over BEFORE they get on my ***. I think the biggest problem is lack of proper driving instruction in the US. They don't teach you anything other than how to basically be a road hazard. I admit that I even qualfied for this status when I first got my license, but I have learned, others haven't. Okay, I'm done ranting.

Wow, I've been living in New Mexico my whole life, and I still haven't adjusted! Sometimes you just want to play bumbercars with the person blocking the left lane in front of you, but there's no sense in killing your Max and raising your insurance rates because someone won't move out of the way and then jams on the brakes.

I've never slammed my brakes on anyone intentionally. I care too much about my car for it to get hit that way. I'd rather run a few circles around the guy.

But who knows... maybe he just needed to get to the bathroom faster!
