Oxygen sensors ... where to buy?

I've got a 2001 cali-spec Maxima and I am looking forward to installing my Stillen y-pipe and Custommaxima cat-replacement pipe.

It's got 27k miles. Can I reuse the O2 Sensors? I know it's a good idea to replace them around now, especially since I'll be doing the work.

If I need to replace them, I'm scared of how much all four will cost. Can anyone break down where to go to buy them and how much I'll have to spend?

You should not have to replace the O2 sensors at all. Keep em going until you throw a code and then you can prove they are bad. They should be able to go at least 100k miles.

Aaaahhhhh....thanks a ton, guys.

I always thought you were supposed to replace your o2 sensors every 30k miles...is that not the case normally with the 5th gen?

Lastly, when AM I supposed to replace the O2 sensors?

There's no real time when you have to replace them... if you get a code that indicates a faulty sensor you should replace it. Or if you have a lot of miles or notice a hit in performance, you can replace them. Even then, only the two upstream sensors monitor A/F ratio... the downstream sensors check for presence of the pre-cats/main cat.

Besides they are not cheep...I had one strip because it was frozen in there when I changed out my exhaust and it cost me $65-70 to buy it and put it in myself. Just go til you code.
