'00 SE vs. '03 SE
'00 SE vs. '03 SE
I own a '03 SE and my friend is thinking about purchasing a '00 SE and asked me what were the differences between the model years. I told him I knew of some differences:
- more horsepower
- more liters/torque
- different grille (I think the '03 looks better)
other than the above, I am not sure of the differences. Can anyone add to the list? Any differences with the interior? What about larger tires on the SE?
Thanks,
- more horsepower
- more liters/torque
- different grille (I think the '03 looks better)

Thanks,
if he want's to go used...why not a 4th Gen...1999 was a great year...and they are a little faster (cuz they're lighter) than the early 5th Gens...
because they are almost 2 models ago (2004 6th Gen Model comes out REAL soon) he should be able to get a REAL good deal on a low mileage 1999 model...they have better interior materials, and really aren't a bad car at all...
just a thought...tell him to go with a 99 model SE Limited 5 speed...

I just thought of a few more differences:
- HID's
- stereo controls on steering wheel

and uh...early 5th gens were NOT slower than 99s...some say the 99 SE-Ls were the slower version than the 99s...
