Sylvania Silverstar

how's the Sylvania Silverstar bulb for headlamps? it's ad says it's the brightest street legal bulb on the market and it rivals an HID from a BMW 3 series. it's ~$50/pair....a bargain if it's good.

50 is a bit much I got mine at autozone for $38, but I honestly dont think it rivals any HID system, yes there pretty bright, no blue at all mostly white with a very very slight hint of violet. To me the Eurolite plasma(DOT legal) bulbs are brighter and cleaner looking than the STs. Also with the 2 bulbs seeing at night is great plus you can see in the rain as it is kinda hard to with piaas and nokyas.

just my .02

my eurolites lasted about a year, and did not burn out or melt my harnesses till i put in some APC bulbs... as for piaas pricing i think its all in the name. You usually can find eurolites on the net for around $20, ive noticed at 3 speed shops around here there about $50... im looking for links now for ya.

PIAA's are expensive because they are the next best thing to HID's. I've got the heads and the fogs, damn they're nice. Including installation and taxes, $151 for all. Bought Silverstars for my nephews 3rd Geneartion Max, next best thing to PIAA's. I don't know how peeps on the orgy are always having PIAA's blow out on them. I've never had a problem. Had some on my last car also, a 2K V6 Accord Coupe, nothing but compliments and lots of light.

I sell Eurolite's, i also have the Fusion's in my high beams and they are bright... in fact brighter than my HID's and comparing both makes my HID's look kinda yellow.

LMK if you need something
