Huh? The 2k-2k1 and 2k2-2k3 are totally different housings and technologies. They just happen to share the same shape so they can be swapped in and out...but as a full assembly, not just pieces and parts.

i think it's a hot idea and thought it would be a simple plug and play. do 2k,2k1's use different bulb sizes than 2k2,2k3's?
i personally love my HID's with a passion, and luckily have not had anything bad happen. but i guess i'm also lucky because i have to drive my car into my driveway, behind a gate, and then behind the house again so it's NEVER EVER parked in the street.
with cars like ours, it's annoying, but worth the extra couple of minutes to find that perfect, safe, parking spot.
