Why, oh why, dost my dashboard blink at me?

Why, oh why, dost my dashboard blink at me?
Well, ok, it's not a blink. But the left side of my dash seems to "dim" at times -- seems mostly noticable when there is bright sunlight -- when the sun is bright I cannot read my fuel gauge at all but the temp gauge is bright and readable. Speedo dim; Tach bright... However, sometimes it is entirely equal -- most of the time at night when I'm driving the whole thing is lit up nicely.
My dealer has not been able to replicate it. Any ideas?

As I remember on new body style 00+ the dashboard backlight is a flurosent light (daylight) that what gives it pure white color instead of yellowish...just like flurosent bulbs in the house can get messed up and start blinking/flickering same can happen with yours...if it still under waranty tell dealer to replace it, dont ask him to fix it...otherwise he will never find problem with it.
good luck
