Variable intake question for 2000 SE

OK, 2000 maixma SE 3.0, I look at the upper intake maniflod and I see that vacuum/electric solenoid that activates the intake manifold "flapper" inside that opens it up at 5000 rpm for that nice boost in power and the change in intake sound. My question is: can I make that thing open at 4000, or even 3000 RPM so that when I get on it, the power is there already. Maybe switch activated even? Is it activated by vacuum or ECU signal? Is there maybe a product on the market to control it along with the VTC? Thanks for any info.

Let's say you do manage to engage the VI earlier, it just means you'll loose more power towards the high end..
There's a reason why they raise the top speed on the 5thgens..

The primary runners give optimal performance before 5000rpm.
Opening the secondary runners gives optimal performance after 5000rpm.

Opening the secondary runners before 5000rpm would probably actually cause you to lose power, not gain it.
