HID Theft EYEWITNESS

This morning my mom woke me up screaming telling me that they were taking maxima's HID's. It was a maxima parked in front of my house, I keep mine in a garage.I saw them take the lights, my mom said they had been there for 5 mins or so.I got the plate and the the type of car so if any of you are in Newark and you see.
When I went downstairs I found out they also took the HID's of another Maxima inside a church parking lot which is the same parking lot where they took mine. This all happened in Newark, Ironbound section corner of Adams and Warwick.

AUDI S4 DARK BLUE

MARYLAND PLATES - EHL 7043

3 "Brothers" I don't want this thread to take the same route the last one where someone mentioned "brothers" did, this is an informative post.

Please follow them and call the police while you're doing it.

I am going out in a bit to cruise the streets and that's what I am going to do if I see them.

Thank God I parked my car in a parking garage, since I just rented a garage and tonight will be the first night parking there, last time they took my lights hours before I was supposed to get an alarm installed, so I didn't want history to repeat itself with the garage this time.

I would go into which method they used to take the HID's but I assume it's better not to because of lurkers on the board.

The craziest part is that they took long and that they did it at 9:25 AM, broad daylight.

I just wish it all had happened when I was awake and stuff, Since I was sleepy I didn't think it all the way through, I could've taken pictures of them doing it and the car, but I was still rubbing my eyes and trying to find the phone, but I guess I did pretty good.

Wow,

That's awesome you got the plate. I couldn't tell from your post. Did you call the police? If not, do it right away.

I did call the police I forgot that "little" detail, I called them twice as a matter a fact just to check if I had told them the car had Maryland plates, I want these bastards caught, since they probably took mine too.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. I was able to provide similar information when my lights were stolen, but the car they used was stolen.

The S4 you saw with Maryland plates may have been stolen, and driven up to Newark by the thieves. Hopefully, the Newark Police will stop them for driving in a stolen car, and find the HIDs as a bonus!!

it is good of you to catch the details...that will hopefully help put you guys up there at ease...

I am telling those here in the SoCal desert about the thefts and showing them the parts for the theft kit in hopes it may assist.

The police got the 2 a**holes from Staten Island, so I guess this new crew is going to take their place. Be careful if you see them and are tempted toconfront. If they are armed it ain't worth losing your life over the headlights.

WOW! I can't believe these burglars did this in daylight.
I guess there will be more Maxima HIDs on ebay. I hope these
bastards go to the pen for this.

I don't think Arkansas has HID jackers. At least I haven't heard about it around here.

we dont (LR). But Memphis or Dallas may be a different story. Let me know if you need some security bolts, I can hand them to you as shipping is like 1/3 the cost of them.

wow thats crazy that the fools are stealing from the same place. you never rob a place more than once. not that im a criminal or anything but it makes logical sense... never go back to the crime scene.

I concur that it was probably stolen. If you can afford an S4 then what the hell are you doing stealing HID's?

So what's the update, did the cops end up catching these fools?

Should I call the police department and ask them?

I don't even know if they release info like that, but since I reported it, maybe.

I would do that. Since you reported it, and you also happen to own a Maxima, they may give you that info since you're a potential target. Worth a shot anyhow!
