I didnt go with the g35 because of the following reasons:

1. The maxima was deeply discounted and thus i got the car for almost $12,000 CDN less than a g35

2. Although i wanted RWD and G35 suspension badly, i think i can wait until i get a bit older before owning a nicer car ( ijust turned 25 on the day fo the accident)

3. My parents didn't want me to waste so much money on a car especially in the early stages of my career as an accountant

4. I had my frankencar intake that i was DYING to put on my 2k2 but i got in to the accident before i received teh intake.. Damn that APexi filter looks sweet

5. HOW CAN I LEAVE THE ORG?? lol

6. I wanna know if all those POS problems i had with the 2k2 are gone in 2k3

7. The maxima has MUCH NICER features than teh g35
Ie. Heated leather steering, hood struts, more room

Congrats. I have to admit I'm a tad surprised from hearing all your complaints. Good luck with the 2k3. I hope it's more reliable than your 2k2 (from what I've read, it should be).
Now you just need to change your sig

Congrats Ed! I hope your other car was written off (totalled) for your sake. Great choice on "upgrading" to a 2003. I think they are having less problems because, I would venture a guess, Nissan fixed their first-year bugs (some of them).

Is chrome Silver aka Sheer Silver? If so, you got a very similar car to me as well.

Damn that sucks.

Hood struts are cool and all, but they wear out...I think they are dumb not to put heated steering wheel in the G35...GREAT option...

also, the G35 is a tad smaller inside. and if dude lives in Canada, i'm sure he'd like the better traction in the snow that he gets from FWD.

good choice.

I used to have a RWD 240sx and it wasn't that bad. Good snow tires will get you through the winter without too many issues.
And not all of Canada gets heavy snow. Toronto hardly gets any snow and if we do, it's gone within 24 hours on the major streets. I would go with the G35 Coupe 6 speed if I had the money.

yeah, the snow bit was an assumption on my part...me from Kansas...

oh yeah! the coupe would be harder to shy away from than the sedan. With the G35 Sedan you think of practicality when you look at it, and the Maxima is more practical...but the coupe....that baby is SEXY! if the coupe was out when I got my Maxima, I don't think I could have resisted....

Congrats and enjoy the 03 moreso, I personally like the look of the 03 Maxima better than the G35 sedan. They all have the same heart (3.5) only one is a lefty and the other a righty. As much as you complained about the 02 you really loved it like a love/hate relationship and you couldnt resist!
