let us know how many miles you get out of your MAF

 

IMO it's worth the risk. Did alot of research on the .org and read mostly postive. But some MAF problems though. Plus, it ROCKS!!!! Sounds like my Durango engine.

 

Congrats. I have had mine on for 3000 miles and I love it. I do find myself accelerating harder just to hear that roar. I am hoping that since I did Apexi first and have never had a K&N that I won't have MAF problems.

 

The K&N filter is not the problem ask ethan and steve also. If you have a 2k2 and an intake your going to loose the MAF its just a matter of time. Mine lasted 9k miles but then boom limp mode I went

Do you have the Frankencar sitting in the garage? If so, what are you waiting for? Personally, I think the MAF failures are due to vibration caused by the intake not being properly secured. Use the
strut tower bracket that comes with the kit and go for it! You won't regret it.

 

I've got a FSTB, AddCo RSB and Frankencar with Apexi, all just waiting for this freakin' winter to ease. I'm dying to install this stuff, but it's just too damn cold to work outside

 

Me too. I really want one but I'm not willing to risk my MAF.

 

Doesn't someone make an aftermarket MAF that is more durable???

If not, they should.

 

Just buy a 2K1 Maf , put it away, or carry it in your car, and put that thing on ! Mine blew at 23K miles. I put the Frankencar on at about 5k miles. I also beat the **** out of my Max ...

 

And so does everybody else and guess what WE STILL BLOW THE MAF!!! There is no way around it just give it time
