I have a stock 2k gxe auto, 16" wheels with 29k miles and the ride has been bumpy ever since I hit (quite a) few potholes on the BQE on the way to La Guardia.
Now my previously unflappable Max starts lurching and shaking at the slightest deformity in the road and I am feeling bumps I cannot even see !! Strangely, I feel it more at low speeds than high. I thought it was a shocks/strut problem. Took it to the dealer and he says all is fine, just general wear and tear. I cannot see how they can fail to see the bad ride. Is this happening because I am close to the 36k warranty mark and the dealer will 'find bad shocks/struts' once I go over it. Just wondering if anyone had similar issues.

Could the tires be an issue?

take it to another dealer. If you can't get any satisfaction call Nissan

rotate the tires and drive teh same roads again...

then consider getting an alignment done...one of the cheaper shops can still do it and take the specs to the dealer and present them with facts after determining if the issues still is there after rotation and alignment...good luck

You may have broken a belt in the tire or thrown a weight. Try rotating the tires as well or having them rebalanced.
