Re: Break-in Advice
Re: Break-in Advice
I need some advice. I just got my new '03 se maxima last night and was wondering if any of you had any good advice for the break-in period. I was thinking about going out of town this weekend, about 3 hours away. Good idea or bad idea?
Thanks a lot for any advice you guys can give me! So far, it's got 22 miles and counting.

People will tell you "with the micro-finishing in the engine it really doesn't need to be broken in". You can belive that if you want, too. It's really up to you.

no, the VQ still requires a breakin. Toyota and Honda do not.
You are also breaking in the tranny. We dont have great success with trannys, so by all means, follow your owners manual guidelines.
