How much do you mean open a notch? If it were truly open, it would be idling well around 1500-2000rpm.

If you idle fine right around 750rpm, then you have no problem.

it idle's at 1000-1100, even after driving for awhile it still idles at 1100 rpm, if i let go of the brake it will drive! it goes to about 15mph unless i hit the brake, i dont even have to hit the gas to move haha, i have to put it in neutral or else it heats up my tq convertor, it just stays revved.

i thought the 2k2 was drive by wire electronic throttle, whats up with the idle speed? it should be auto!?

Sounds like you need to take it to the dealer and have them set the idle speed and what not with the CONSULT II.

** UPDATE **

Dealer checked it out:

P0507-SHORT IN THROTTLE CHAMBER

REPLACED EFI THROTTLE CHAMBER (DBW THROTTLE BODY)
REPLACED THROTTLE BODY GASKET
CONSULT ADJUSTMENTS

1.9 HOURS

PARTS $804.30
LAB-MECH $151.20
TOTAL $955.50

GREAT SERVICE, CAR RUNS MUCH BETTER, AND EVEN SMOOTHER THAN BEFORE. TECH SAID MAYBE K&N OIL GOT IN BETWEEN PLATE AND SHORTED IT, OR TB CLEANER SHORTED IT OUT

That's some $$$ . Now I'm scared to clean my throttle body even though its not DBW. Although the explanation about oil from the K&N, they need to come clean it up(BS).

Isn't it under warranty?

Easy on the caps next time, it's almost as if you are yelling.

No need to type all of it. Just copy and paste to Word, use 'Format' and 'Change Case'. Make the changes and paste back to the forum.

just an FYI...

Did you know also that if you hold down the shift key while hitting a key it changes case for you? No need to hit capslock all the time!
