any techniques how to loose the strut center nut???

man...those center nuts r so hard to loose with hand tools, with air tools just several bzee bzee then it comes right off...so is there a easy way or techniques to loose the center without air tools??

p.s anyone know where to rent air tools?? how many hp does the air compressor need in order to work on cars??

Just use a breaker bar to loosen, not remove, the center nut before you remove the remaining nuts and take the strut/spring out of the car.

Not a matter of HP for the air compressor, but how much PSI and cfm your impact wrench needs to operate. Compare the wrench owner's manual to the output specs on the compressor.

Be sure to use some padding if you're going to use vice grip on the strut piston. Otherwise you're going to kill the strut.
