well this weekend i went to a local nissan dealer and purchased a brand new 03. i got a gle fully loaded except nav. that **** is way to expensive. well i still have my 95 maxima but i gave it to my brother. i traded in my svt lightning for the 03. all i got to say is that the 03 is so nice. it perfect in everyway. some people might think im stupid because the 04 is comming out shortly but i think the 03 is a better car plus i got a killer deal on the maxima and plus i got a lot for the lightning. well just want to say hi to every one and let the modding begining hahaha
take care

You traded your SVT Lightning for a Max?!?! I hope it was a 1G Lightning. If not, that MUST be a performance downer to go from a 2G Lightning to a Max.

Anyway, welcome to the 2k2/3 club.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't get the rage with the lightning. Yeah, it has a ton of horsepower, but it's a truck. Trucks are supposed to haul stuff and tow stuff, not be drag strip material. The last thing I'd want is 400+ HP vehicle with little weight in the back.

You will get the 'rage' when one of those beaut's gives you a face full of truck taillights.

One can also argue that a sedan should not be drag strip material as well, let alone a front wheel drive one with traction issues.

Nah, I've messed with one before on the highway and yeah, they are fast as $hit, but once again, it's a truck. Trucks are for hauling and towing.

Maybe FWD cars are for dragging either, but I don't do that. I want a relatively fast car that works well in the snow.

OK, ok, to each his own. I do see some truth there (check my sig...the truck is used pretty much for that).

Still, if they had made an extended cab Lightning when I was in the market OR had the Hemi motor in the old bodystyle Ram, I would have had no need to get a Max.

that is exactly the reason i like Lightnings and fast Sedans. i love cars (and trucks) that arent "supposed" to be fast, but are.

a pick up truck running 12s?
a family sedan running 12s?
it just makes it that much cooler. IMO.

What would the Lightning be classified as on Autotrader.com? They only have F150s, 250s, and 350s.... No Lightning.

the lightning is an f-150. trying clicking on F-150 and see if there is a sub-category for lightnings and harley editions.

well let me tell you. the lightning is the best. oh yea its a 2nd gen. it is fast a hell will take any car for reals if modded. they have lightnings that run in the 10's and its really easy to run 12's. the only reason y i traded is because of gas miles and also i needed a 4 door car for work. and since i owned a 4th gen that i still have and still love i decied to get the 03 and i payed 29 out the door around that i think with out taxes and other fees i payed 26xxx. thanks
