New Maxima Owner With Questions
I just purchased a Gray Luster 2000 Maxima GXE with 59800 miles, for $9750. Being a previous Nissan owner and coming from a Nissan ONLY family, I have to say that I am impressed with the performance of the Maxima. I never would have thought I would find a car that I loved as much as my 240SX, but the Maxima has proven me wrong. Ok, with that said on to my question. I have read most of the previous posts on the auto slipping TSB, and have discovered that my Max is suffering from it, mainly the 1st to 2nd shift. Since I only have 200 miles left on my warranty, and knowing the lack of cooperation from the dealers to fix the problem. I would appreciate any information on dealing with the service center so that I can get this fixed on the first visit when it is under warranty. Thanks in advance.

Also, if you report the problem while it is under warantee, I believe they have to honor it even if they don't do the work right away. Don't go into the dealership looking for a fight, but don't be surprised if you get one.
