Radio/CD replacement for 2000 GXE (non-Bose)

I am looking to replace my standard AM/FM/Cassette with a factory AM/FM/Cassette/CD with Changer Control. I have been told that a Bose will not just drop in, that work is required, and a stock non-Bose is okay with me anyway. So I looked on E-Bay and there are a number of units available, BUT it looks like there are at least 4 different looking versions. One person claimed that non-Bose 2000-2002 Maxima, Altima, Frontier and Sentra were all interchangaeable. Another claimed that any non-Bose from a 1998-2000 Maxima would fit as well. Does anyone know what the interchange rules are ?

Thanks

I guess they are all interchangeable since the plug are the same. Just make sure that you get the non-Bose one if you don't have a Bose system; since that's where the difference in the wiring is.
