Tweeter crossovers?

I was just wondering if the tweeters in the A-pillars on a 2k have crossovers or just caps? Also, are they wired as a separate channels from the headunit or are they spliced into the channels for the front door speakers?

Any help on installing an aftermarket system in a 2k would be appreciated.

Thanks!

1) yeah, but if you wanna call it a xover...it's a low frequency resistor to avoid distortion. i swapped it for some cheap kappa tweets and it improved, although when i do put it real loud, it distorts more than the stock cause the resistor went with the stock tweet.

2) they are tapped into the front speakers.

You can install a cap (for pennies) in-line on the positive terminal. That will cure your problem. You could also get a "bass blocker" which is a more expensive version of the same thing.
