5th gen Maxima shootout ?

Eclipses, Lasers and Talons have a "Shootout" in Norwalk, Ohio every year in the spring. All models from 90-99 come and race each other and they have a big barbeque, a tech session, vendors displays etc etc. Do we have anything like that for Maximas? A 5th gen meet would be fun....might settle a few of those 2k vs 2k2 debates Plus it would be fun to meet org members and see modified Maximas from all over the country. Just wondering if this was done before....

Let's not forget our front ends tend to stay in place and on the car without a recall needed AND don't have rear ends that look like APC ricer lights!

funny, I've never seen the rear end of a pre-2k2... you must spend a lot of time back there when you race to notice what 2k2 tails look like.

Touchy-touchy!! To some of us, racing is not the end of and be all of existence. Not looking like some barely pubescent teen ricer is a higher priority.

I like my car, you like your car, let's call the whole thing off.

Debating "style" is like picking the "best color." It's a dumb discussion and just wastes time. Nobody's ever going to agree so why bother...

I will say, though, it was the 4th gen maxima that caught my attention a few years ago, and it was the 2k2 engine that finally made me decide to buy one.
