faint SES light

the search function was disabled by administrator? that's the message i got, or else i would have searched on this. who knows.

on my 2k2 GLE, i noticed a faint SES light while driving home at night. does anyone know or have any guesses as to what this would be? i didn't notice anything different about the way my car drives. thanx.

it's a common problem with the 2k2 and I think 2k3's. nothing to worry about. if you want it fixed you have to get the whole instrument cluster replaced.

it definitely wasn't on before...it happened within the last few days. just checking to make sure that it's still not a problem since it wasn't like this before. thanx again.

It's not a big concern but the whole cluster must be replaced. It happened to my Max and they paid for a rental car too. It took'em 2 business days to fix it.

I found the solution

I had this problem on my 2k2, and could not fix it becuase no Canadian dealerships new how to rectify it on my 2k2 SE 6 speed.

So i crashed my 2k2, and bought myself a 2k3..

NO MORE DIMILY LIGHT SES..

By the way, your dealership can fix this by replacing hte gauge cluster.

Well, I've got news for you. My Max is a 2K3 model and the faint SES light came on. So when it happens again you're going to have to crash it too.

I was actually kind of amused by the 2k2 faint SES because when i cranked my system, it would blink with the bass..

And BTW..

My 2k3 was BUILT December 2002.. THE LAST MODEL RUN... and no problems to date on this
