Looking at picking up a set of MOMO wheels. Size 17 x 8 with 38 mm offset. What tire size would be best for this wheel size? Presently, we have the stock 17 x 7 wheel with 225/50-17 tire. I've looked around the site and see that many people use a 235 width. The size that matches diameter with the 225/50 is a 245/45. Does this seem about right?

 

Yes. The 245/45 is a better match than the 235/45 when compared to the geometry of the 225/50. And it's perfect for use on an 8.0" wide wheel.

 

yes if you compare some web site, you can see that the best choice it's 245-45-17.
for me i can't wait to summer to put my new wheels and tires.
