what is the Best HID protection

sorry if this has been discussed before,
but i replaced my stolen HIDs with HIDs again... and now i'm figuring out how to protect them from a 2nd robbery.

any tips or recommendations? i have a car alarm on top of the factory alarm, would adding air horns under the hood help my situation out as well as shock sensors near each of the HIDS ?

any other suggestions on how to protect these HIDS..
from what i hear, the anti theft kit i here is a joke..

Thanks is advance for any leads or tips.

Park your car in the garage. Unfortunately, if someone wants your headlights there is nothing you can do about it.

The Anti-Theft kit isn't a joke, it makes it harder for a would be thief to open you're hood in a couple seconds. I installed it on mine, and its not something that can be pryed open with a screw driver, unlike the OEM hood latch. Its just another feature to get a thief to move along from your car....

Get a proximity sensor ON TOP of the shock sensors. Other than that, park it in a well-lit area, try to get a garage (if you don't already have one), if you park next to a wall, try to park as close as possible to the wall so would-be thieves can't get around to the front of the car, and get a 2-way alarm.

Bottom line is, though, if you live in an area where HID theft is big, there's not much you can do if they really want to take them. But I would say a good 2-way alarm, shock and prox sensors would be good.

I suggested breaking off the mounting tabs to the headlights, fabricating a SOLID METAL piece which goes on top of the headlight and replaces the mounting tabs. Then epoxy it to the headlight assembly, thne use security bolts. Hell, you can probably epoxy it to the chasis if necessary.

thanks all for the serious suggestions...

those who have a gun fetish are in the wrong forum i guess...

well i do park in a garage overnight, it's the trip to the local mall, supermarket, movie theater that worries me.

would air horns for my alarm work so the punks can't just disable my horn and take there sweet time pullin out the HIds.

I got a Viper 790 vx Responder 2 way alarm installed. Since I have airhorns and I have my horn running from the airhorns I took out the complete stock horn assembly, so if they take out my grill to cut the wires or whatever it is they do with the horn and they see no horn, maybe they'll think a bit before they act.I live in Newark by the way and I garage my car at night and sometimes even during the day since they take them during the day as well now.

If you're in North Jersey or anywhere close to Edison contact Don (Pearl96Max) he has great deals on alarm and does an awesome job.

No matter what you do, you are going to have to park your car alone one day... it won;t be in your sight and if someone really wants them, then there gone... Sorry to say, but you cannot stop a thief and if you do, then there are plenty more of them...
