Creaking like an old man ?

Anyone else have a problem with thier struts/shocks/suspension creaking like an old man? It usually happens when I'm making tight turns at low speeds.

I know that sounds very nitpicky, but at low speeds during tight turning my front suspension (sounds like it's mostly from the right front) creaks like crazy. Any ideas of the problem before i head to the dealer.

Also my damn rotors are warped again. How many times can a rotor be resurfaced before it's done. I thought i read it can only be done once or twice ? I'm on decent terms w/ my dealership and i may ask for a rotor/pad replacement. Ok, beg for a replacement.

Sorry for the longwindedness. Thanks guys and gals.

I know what you mean. My car creaks and I have aftermarket shocks and springs too. It's especially noticeable in the morning when I'm backing out. I think almost everyone you ask would recommend against resurfacing rotors more than once. Also as you resurface them they are more prone to getting warped more easily.

There is a maximum amount you can cut of the rotors before they are no longer usable. The following info is from my buddies 2K1 factory service manual:

For Front Rotor page BR-27: Rotor Repair Limit 24mm (.945 in)
For Rear Rotor page BR-33: Rotor Repair Limit (Standard Thickness 9mm .35 in)
Rotor Repair Limit (Minimum Thickness 8mm .31 inches)

that's all it says....hope it helps

I got the same issue with my 98SE,
I don't think it's caused by rotors because it only happens when car's suspension is moving.
Break noise occurs when your pads are bad, it has very little to do with the rotors.

Yeah i realize the creaking has nothing to do w/ the rotors. I was just asking 2 questions, 1) anyone know what the creak could be? and 2) how many times can rotors be planed before they are out of spec.

Thanks though.

Rotors usually can be turned twice.
Three times won't do them anygood.

my suspension creaks too. Ive got the tokico/eibach combo and whenever i hit a small bump you can hear a small squeak coming from i think the back. Its kinda annoying but goes with the rest of the rattles and noises my car has.....

I get a very quite rattle from the left front at slow speeds when there is only very little suspension travel. This may sound crazy, but I only noticed it after my last tire rotation.

I'll get it check out soon.
