hey, i've got a valentine one and i was wondering if someone w/ a passport 8500 or a bel or some other radar detector that ranks pretty high would like to trade for a week or so...just to test others out...i like my valentine one, but i get a lot of false signals (in parking lots...the doors make it go crazy)...i was just wondering if anyone was interested in trading or something...nothing personal, but i don't want to trade w/ a newbie or lurker...i am going to want this back

 

If you change the setting to "L" you'll get less false signals... at least that's what I found out. The instructions talk about that too.

 

and doors make mine go crazy too, but You can turn the X Band off, thank god

 

yeah kev, i leave mine on the uppercase L all the time...have since day one...i've tried the smaller L but that gives even more false signals (but at least puts the x band on mute mode)...i wish i could turn the pesky x band off...i've heard you can modify a v1 but it voids the warranty...any ideas on how?
