I know this is way off the topic of our cars, but would like to share... I just got a new Computer, Compaq 6470NX, and applied my new DSL system... its the Shiett... I use to have dial up, and it took forever to post... now i get a message "you have to wait 60 seconds to post again"... i was startled... Damn, i should have got DSL alot faster... Now I post and post and post,,,,

Dsl is the shiettt again, if you don't have it, get it... You will be able to keep in touch with us orgers alot faster, I mean faster...

I know I am slow to get around.. I figured why an extra bill... I was keeping my pockets tight for mods on my car,,, Can you blame me?

Thankfully, my employer pays for my DSL Not to mention $50/month towards the purchase or lease of a computer...

 

You really want speed, get a cable modem. They blow DSL away.

 

 

Until your neighbors get online and suck up all your bandwidth.

 

Then all you have to do is go online at 1:00 a.m. and read and post on the Org until the wee hours of the morning.

Wait....we do that anyway.

 

I have a friend who's bandwidth has declined so much it annoys him. What makes it worse is that he was probably the first guy in his neighborhood to get it years ago, so he went from having the whole pipe himself to sharing it with a ton of people. Which really sucks if you download movies from the newsgroups daily.
