I have asked this before (but I couldn't get the search function to work). I noticed when driving with the lights on, the lights behind the gear selection (on a 2k2) seem to be getting dimmer? For example, last night while I was in drive....I could not see the "P" at all. Once home and I did put it in "P"...the P itself was lit up fine. It just seems like there might be a bulb in the uppper part of the dash cluster that is fading?? Or is this normal? Not a big thing, but I was wondering if this is worth pursuing with the dealer while it's still under warranty??

 

when you turn on parking lites or headlites, your interior/dash lites dim as to not be so brite in low lite. this normal for all cars.

 

Yes....I understand that, but the top is considerably darker. Everything else can be seen, anyway....just not P and part or R. But thanks for the info!

 

i think its the combiantion of dimming in darkness and some of the bettery power taken away from the dash to put in ur headlites
