Difference in Maxima models

What are the differences in the maxima models?
I know the AE is the anniversary edition, but like the GXE and so on.
Are there any HP differences or anything?
I know this is a dumb question, but I'm very interested in a maxima, and will be joinin all you guys soon
Thanks

AFAIK, AE is not there in the current model years ( 2002+ )
The 3.0 L models ( 2000 and 2001 ) put out 222 hp -- the AE puts out 227.

The 2k2 and 2k3 put 255hp ( take this with a huge grain of salt !!!! )

All trims have same engine etc - and same HP - the differences are in external syling and suspension etc....
nothing very drastic though.

What do you want to know?

for 2k3,

GXE- is the base model, comes with the smallest wheels (16") and no options basically.

SE- sport edition - suspension is supposedly a little stiffer, comes with spoiler standard, fog lights, 17" six spoke wheels, etc. This is the only model you can get in a manual.

GLE- luxury edition, 17" 7 spoke wheels, climate control, leather, etc.

All have the same engine.

What information are you looking for?

If you're planning to modify your car later on (which I'm sure you will), it is more sensible to opt for the base model (GXE). There are numerous aftermarket parts with better quality than stock & probably cheaper to upgrade for the car. A modified GXE will looks and handles much better than the stock SE/GLE. Good luck!

i think that the GXE and GLE have the same suspension and that only the SE is different GLE is luxury so it makes no sense to make it firmer
