How do you adjust the angle of the HID lights?
How do you adjust the angle of the HID lights?
I remember seeing someone did this so that more of the light is concentrated higher up, resulting in better overall vision.. how is this done? Can a novice do it safely?

The factory setting for my car was damn near on the ground! (No really, only about 20 feet out)
Sweet, so its actually factory adjustable! What do I look for on the lights for adjustment. I havent actually looked yet, but I will when I get home tonight. Up and down is all I wanted to adjust. Its just too low right now.
Granted, it's been a month since I looked under there, but, if memory serves, most the headlight assembly is black and the adjusters are white. The "heads" of the adjusters face back towards the firewall. I had to push the wiring a little back and forth on the drivers side to see it. The pass side was cake. All and all, very easy to do.

I changed mine without an issue. I could only find a "height" adjustment, not a side-to-side adjustment though. Just be careful around them and you should be fine. I used a 1/4 rachet and an 8mm socket to turn the adjuster (white with gear-teeth on the sides, but hex on top). I have made several adjustments (fine tuning, its fun to **** off oncoming traffic) without a problem.

In my case I had one headlight higher than the other from the factory, so I adjusted it higher and higher (pulling over and stopping and making changes) till I got it where I wanted it. Then I parked behind my garage as far away as I could and left the door down, and matched the height on the other one. (Being a perfectionist sux!)
