Paint chip fix??
Hey guys, I've got a 2001 AE maxima and I'm experiencing the same problem as the rest of you 5th gen owners apparently. I have around 32k miles and probably between 50-60 paint chips on the front end. I was at the local Advance Auto Parts and noticed they have a Turtlewax product that supposedly matches any shade of paint. So I figured I would ask you guys what you think, if it would help or just look ****ty and spotty. The max is merlot so I would use the red matching compound I assume. Thanks for any input guys.

At about 30K I had my front bumper repainted for about $200 to $300.
If you have a lot of chips that are concentrated on the bumper that is the best way to go.

I got a nose mask (or whatever you call it) at the time of getting a car at the dealer for extra $90. So the bumper is like new. Unfortunatelly I can't say the same about the rest of the car.

My dealer uses that Turtle Wax color match stuff with my Majestic Blue Max. The stuff works great and you can't tell any difference between it and regular wax. I do agree, I have a car that isn't even a year old and it looks horrible. Chris
