Now comes the tricky part just add 11 to my age and that makes me 12 yr old maxima owner.
Hopefully I didnt confuse you too much (do the math stay in school)

One of my friends in HS had a Chevette... he used to talk about his "'vette" to the girls... everyone thought he owned a "vette" until he was seen one day... hah!
Talk about 80's flashback... I used to own an 88/80 that had to boot up by floppy! Remember when 2Mb of storage was, like, soooo much memory? LOL. I remember when I thought I was cool when I completed my first program in BASIC (and it worked!).
I had to take FORTRAN in college (1992)... yikes.
Another friend of mine had a 1973 Dodge Dart... the friggin thing would not die. It was rusted through the floorboards, you could see the road while driving... the doors were held on by bungie cords (the handles had rusted off), he didn't change the oil much, but the engine still turned over and it ran just fine. Those were the days...

I am 23 and driving a 2K2 Maxi SE...loaded, but I earned it. My parents told me if I went to college they would help me with the insurance on it, I could afford the payment I have a really good job. In 2001 I had totalled my 2000 Maxi right before Christmas, for the crash and flips that I took and made it out alive I told my parents that I would never drive anything but a Maxi. After I got out of the hospital and found out that I could not work for a few months I was very upset that I could not afford another Maxi, so my parents surprised me on Christmas with another one, but the catch was I had to make the payments once I was back on my feet again...and that was the only time my parents helped me get a really nice car, but can you blame them???

Talk about spoiled??? Hear this story then:
Before my cousin turned 16 she already had a 2 year old Ford Mustang waiting for her (birthday present)....so as soon as she got her drivers' license she drove that for a couple of months...then, in the winter, (with the rear wheel drive and not really knowing how to drive) she crashed into some light pole... her parents wanted that to be a lesson (they told her not to drive that night when she crashed it, but she still drove) and didn't fix the car for a couple of months (so she didn't anything for that period of time).....well, after they did fix it she drove it for about half a year and got bored with it and wanted another car....so her dad gave her his 2 year old Infinity I30t (a sweet car---basically decked out Maxima)....that car lasted her for a year....before she turned 18 she wanted another car, so her parents got her a brand spanking new and fully loaded Pathfinder (for like $37K)......so she's 3 cars in 2 years before her 18th birthday.....That's pretty spoiled in my book...
alright, I'm gonna stop ranting about this...
as far as myself, I drive a stinking small Corolla that I took from my mom after her lease ended (I extended her lease for a half a year)...so I'm looking for a bigger car and am thinking about getting a used 5th gen Maxima---that's why I was on this forum in the first place....

In college was even worse...
seemed like all the frat boys and girls drove new 4 Runners.
Anyways, having to pay for everything myself has taught me how to go out and bust my A$$ to get what I want. My 2000 Max that I paid cash for is just fine for me for the next 3 - 5 years. All the car anyone reallly NEEDS.
Gotta love these age threads.....
Age: 35

Don't you guys have something better to contribute, or are you just a bunch of mindless post ******?

30 - first new car for me that I own - not leased
Had a 1992 Sentra SE-R that got totaled...it didn't have ABS.
I bought my first car when I was 16 - 1982 Toyota Supra - 5spd, it was 5 years old and had 40K on it - was very quick at the time...I had it de-badged, painted mercedes blue/green and put headers and a custom exhaust on it. Then I cracked the head and junked it because I couldn't afford to have it fixed.
