Naw she did'nt we swap out quite a bit and I am paying for both of them, she's a Nissan junkie like I am,lol. Her history with Z's is like mine with Maxima's, although she does pay the house note,!

yeah, sorry, I was just playing...remember that song about a cross dresser?

I met her in a club down in North Soho
where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry cola
C-O-L-A cola.

She walked up to me and she asked me to dance.
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said, "Lola"
L-O-L-A Lola, lo lo lo Lola

Well, I'm not the world's most physical guy,
but when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my Lola, lo lo lo Lola, lo lo lo Lola

Well, I'm not dumb but I can't understand
why she walks like a woman and talks like a man
Oh my Lola, lo lo lo Lola, lo lo lo Lola

Well, we drank champagne and danced all night,
under electric candlelight,
she picked me up and sat me on her knee,
She said, "Little boy won't you come home with me?"

Well, I'm not the world's most passionate guy,
but when I looked in her eyes,
I almost fell for my Lola,
Lo lo lo Lola, lo lo lo Lola

I pushed her away. I walked to the door.
I fell to the floor. I got down on my knees.
I looked at her, and she at me.

Well that's the way that I want it to stay.
I always want it to be that way for my Lola.
Lo lo lo Lola.

Girls will be boys, and boys will be girls.
It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world,
except for Lola. Lo lo lo Lola. Lo lo lo Lola.

Well I left how just a week before,
and I never ever kissed a woman before,
Lola smiled and took me by the hand,
she said, "Little boy, gonna make you a man."

Well I'm not the world's most masculine man,
but I know what I am and that I'm a man,
so is Lola.
Lo lo lo Lola. Lo lo lo Lola.

don't be mad...most girls I know are scared little girlie girls when it comes to driving fast, going to the track or whatever...

I was just trying to joke around...

my sense of humor sucks..

to me, the G35 is just a rear wheel drive maxima. I was thinking to get the g35 coupe as a car to replace my ///M, but then, i decided i don't want a two door, rear wheel drive maxima.

...if it was not for the engine, then they could not be any more different. Going from front drive, to rear drive is a big deal. Not to mention the weight distribution, stiffer chassis and independant multilink suspension.

Re: G35 - is it all that good?

The RWD advantage is mostly in the handling department. If you have never had a RWD car, then you wont know what I'm talking about. W/ RWD you can actually feel something thru the rim of the steering wheel. Yes, you can feel stuff thru the max's rim, but that is mostly the engine vibes and torquesteer. On a wet road, that is a HUGE advantage. It allows you to feel the limits of the tires adhesion rather than taking a guess and having to back off when you figured out you are going too fast.

think of the G35 coupe as a 2+2 350Z, not a RWD Maxima...

the G35 has a much better suspension for taking corners, it's smaller than a Maxima.

and the G35 sedan, its a 4 door 350Z...

but after driving an ///M3 I would imagine everything else feels like a Lincoln Towncar...what year is yours?

is it that much faster than a maxima? what about the rear wheel drive "advantage"? The style looks aggressive but it's still a Nissan and it still has the same engine at least in my mind.

i'm lost on this one. dealer websites don't seem to help any.
G35 has the same engine as the 03 Maxima except slightly better intake/exhautst for an extra 5 HP and 5-speed intead of 4-speed AT in the Maxima. I replaced my 87 Maxima SE recently with a low-mileage GS400

Why ask in a maxima forum? This site is stricly for 5Th generation maxima fans? I'm not at all trying to flame. Well, I'm faced with the same dilemma, unlike many folks on this site, I'm more than qualified to answer your question, or a least help in the decision task. Went to the Dallas Auto Show last night and sat in a G35 coupe last night. I've been lusting after it for about six months now and will order my coupe as soon as 2K4's are made available. Do yourself a favor and lurk www.freshalloy.com go to forums ans lurk under G35Sedans/Coupes. Also lurk ww.g35driver.com
Next, go to your library and research car & driver, motor trend and anything else car related that you can get your hands on about the famous G. It's an Infiniti badged 350Z, that's waht it is. Don't listen to anyone or anything comparing it to a Maxima, there's no grosser comparison available out there. However, it's made by Nissan, and much like the Maxima has its share of manufacturer defects and I hope that they work those out for next year. I've done extensive research and would be more than glad to answer specific questions about the car. Feel free to PM me when it's convenient for you. I'll be checking my PM box over the last couple of days.

I was misunderstood when I said that the G35 had more extreme styling than the 350Z... that's not true, but I know that while I love the look of the G35s, there are a LOT of them out there, especially sedans. And the coupe looks like the sedan... i know for me I have a lot more drool factor when I see a Z, because a Z isn't like every 5th car on the road (exaggeration). Ive only seen 4 Zs on the road, and I've followed 2 of em to get better looks of them in action I've seen at least 20-30 diff G35 coupes, and hundreds of sedans. To me, where I live, the styling is getting fairly old, fairly fast... and I loved the car to begin with too I should add.

Just my .02

G35 Coupes and sedans share no body parts, so if it looks to you like the same thing, get that eyesight checked, you need it, BADLY, VERY BADLY. There's lots, way lots more Z's on the road than G35 Coupes. I live in Dallas, Texas and have not even seen ten coupes since they were released in November. You must live in Beverly Hills, I would assume. If you ever step into a G coupe after stepping into a Z, you'll easily be able to notice that the Z looks like the unfinished, or unpolished version of the G coupe.

To each his own beauty is in the eye of th beholder, But I live in the Coppell area and I see at least 2 coupes a day and see several around the North Dallas area every day.

G35 sedan-AWD in 2004

I have been reading on the g35driver web site and it looks like that the sedan and maybe the coupe will becoming out with an awd drive option for the year 2004 to compete with the likes of BMW and Audi.

Bingo, seems to me from reading threads on different websites that, AWD cars with less HP than RWD cars can kill them in the twisties. Now if they can put The Maxes 6-way power seats in the G coupe, take my order down now for a 2K4.

Having driven all these cars. The G35coupe and sedan handle pretty identical. The manual G35 is very swift. These cars handle like bigger 350zs, pretty awesome stock. They are based on a stretched 350Z platform. For 30-32k they are a great buy, over that, the interior needs work.

The Maxima is the next sportiest but not close. The Altima is not sporty at all. Acceleration wise, they all feel about equal, no matter the HP rating (240-280).

F the twisties, after slamning a 944 into a curb about 10 years ago and doing 8K worth of damage I have cut my high speed cornering, etc... by a ton. I guess I might be a Redneck but I love straight line excelleration.

I agree even the Z I can barely feel a difference.
