RSB Problem...

I have ADDCO RSB on my 2k2 SE. Everytime when I drive over larger bumps with rear seats/trunk with passengers or heavier stuff on it, the rear suspensions will make a big "bang" sound. Sounds like something is bottoming out. Does anyone else also have this problem? What cause this? Sorry about the newbie question.

its okay...common problem...the passenger side bracket...the one on the rear beam needs to be moved inwarda bout 1/2 inch you will see marks on the brackets from the imapct. Not a big deal. Just move it inward. I left it...and it eventually banged itself out...

What you need to do exactly is make sure the bracket on the passenger side is at least 4.5" in from the bend in the bar...this will allow the panhard bar to clear the bracket. There is a very detailed post by Olincoles on the installation but since the search feature is caput its no use. Just adjust the bracket and youll be fine...i have pics on my cardomin page of how far in they should be if you need a visual.

You can leave the bracket where it is and grind about 1/8" from it where the contact is happening.

Thanx guys for the informative replies. I feel more comfortable now knowing it's no biggie. I plan on take it to the shop next week and get it fixed. But let it bang itself out like chinaonnitrous1 did , I will need more guts to do that...
