2k3 ECU flash results - for a 2k3 with no 2k rpm hesitation

My 2k3 did NOT have the 2k - 3k rpm hesitation, but DID have the cool throttle-lag-from-a-stop problem. So, I thought what the hell, Nissan can spot me the $50 for the ECU flash under warranty and we'll see if the throttle lag gets fixed - we'll call the $50 not-even-close-to-even-for-my-paint-chips.

And the result? Throttle lag gone, my car has gained at LEAST 50 hp, and the ECU flash even made the stereo sound better!!!

Okay, I really should have sent that note yesterday, but somehow couldn't bring myself to have the dealer flash the ECU on April Fool's day...

Actual result: From the short drive from the dealer to the tint place, as expected the throttle lag feels no different (starting to believe it's all drivetrain lash...). The car DOES feel a little faster, but that could definitely be wishful thinking - I drove my 4th gen all day, so that comparison could make the 2k3 feel faster, and if this flash actually gives us our 15hp I seriously doubt my butt is sensitive enough to feel the difference.

So basically a no-op, other than it got me off my butt to get the windows tinted at the same time (thanks for the advice!). It was worth a try though.

BTW, from some of the other scary dealer comments, Baker-Jackson Nissan in Houston is apparently outstanding. The service dept. hasn't ever said anything other than "yes sir, we'll get right on it" for anything I've brought them, including this. Sounds like we're lucky!

Keith Maas at Baker-Jackson 290 - cool guy. And now they've had some practice with the ECU flash
