i was told when i posted earlier that the blinker bulb size was 1157...
so i ordered a pair and when they came in they have a round bottoms and the stock ones are the wedge style...

am i missing something simple here or did i get the wrong size?

Dude, 1157 is the bulb size for the turn signals on the 2k-2k1 maximas. 2k2-2k3 is different. I haven't replaced those bulbs yet, so I don't know off hand what size they are.

 

Hey bud. Just go to custommaxima.com and after choosing the year of your car click on lighting. If you have an 02-03 Max, you'll need M9 (1156) bulbs for the blinkers.

the clearance light/blinker bulb whatever you want to call it is wedge size 168/194 (same)

 

1156 and 1157 are the same size, its just that 1157 is a dual filament

 

dual filament? whats that?

 

2 bulbs in one, so to speak. Notice how when you turn on your parking lights, the rear taillights light up red, but when you hit the brakes, they get really bright red? Thx to dual filament bulbs.
