Wheel Torques ???

Hey everybody, I'm a newbie here, just found the site. (I've got a 2001 Merlot SE stick)

Sorry if this has been asked before, for some reason I'm not able to use the 'search' feature (I just registered). Anyways, I'm about to put my summer wheels and tires back on and wondered if anybody knew the correct torque specs for them (they are the 17" nissan wheels)?

Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Grog!

Once properly torqued do they stay that way or is there a possibility they loosen up?

There's always that possibility, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I have a 2k3 (GLE) with the stock 17" rims, is the lug nut torque the same for me?

Yes. Plus the specs are listed in your owner's manual.

Thanks, I guess I should have looked there. Not used to manufacturer's putting that kinda info in the manuals.

I think I read somewhere that you should re-torque the lugs about 500 miles after you have put them on. For example, if you rotated your tires at 5,000 miles, then at 5,500 miles you should re-torque them.

NO. It's recommended that you re-torque alloy wheels after 25 to 50 miles after you remove them for any reason.
