Problem doing wind noise TSB

today i went to my local dealer in alhambra california to fix my rattling noise my strut makes and my wind noise. they told me that they couldnt do the wind noise tsb because i had tint, so that voided the warranty. Ive seen other ppl on the org that had this fixed with tint, what should i do???

Your best bet is to just do the TSB yourself, it really is easy. However, if you really want to press the issue, you have every right to do so since their claim is nonsense. The area the TSB affects has nothing to do with the window tint. If ou do it yourself, you can use 0.75" wide by 3/16 thick vinyl foam window seal. The TSB can be found on my homepage. The Infiniti TSB seems to be a little bit more comprehensive.

Call Nissan and tell them what the dealer said and politely ask them to set up an appointment to get it done. Tint has nothing to do with the TSB.

It's the easies tsb ever, 10 minutes tops and makes a great difference. I wouldn't even bother with the dealer. If you can't handle this tsb, I wouldn't try anything else car related.... ever

there have been so many people who have had their tint scratched, I'm sure this was the dealers reasoning.. However, they have also scratched glass (non-tinted), scratched paint on the doors and I think even someones interior doing this TSB. You are *really* better off doing this yourself.

This is horsepucky.....you need to roll the

windows down to oull the rubber molding off the window frame anyway...what does the tint have to do with it if the %$$#@!@! window is down anyway?? I did iot myself so I know.

I agree with the post above, call Nissan and tell them politely but firmly that you will not tolerate that dealer's BS.
