Interesting... they might have had a lock kit that included a lot of keys... or they might have just had the time to drill out the centers of the lock lugs... it isn't like they completely prevent someone from stealing your tires... just a suggestion for them to move on to someone easier...

In the end, if someone really wants something bad enough, they'll do what they can to get it.

With that said...
I'd like to find out all the possible brands/models of wheel
locks that work with my 2002 SE stock rims.

I only have the McGuard ones now, but would like to put
a different brand/model of wheel lock on each lug if I can.

Combine the 5 different wheel lock mechanisms on each
wheel with my alarm that has shock, tilt, and pages me...and maybe, just MAYBE....my rim won't get stolen again.

Anyone got part numbers or links?

Just keep in mind... you can have 5 different wheel lock mechanisms on each wheel... but the wheel locks won't stop someone with a drill from drilling out the locked lugs and STILL being able to steal the tires.

The only saving grace would be the alarm... if it is that sensitive on shock and tilt (when they would jack the vehicle up to get the tires)... and hopefully, even if you get paged, you'd have enough time (less than two minutes, if they are good) before they get away!

I just ordered the mcguard ones from nissan-accessories (along with AE sills ) last night. For OEM rims I hope that would be enough to deter a would-be thief... now I need a tazer gun to protect the HIDs

That is the greatest idea yet! Imagine... a thief starts to dismantle your hood to get to the HIDs... suddenly, two sharp contact points shoot out and BZZZZT! The cops find him unconscious on the ground next to your Max...

With the Konig wheels, you are going to need the small diameter tuner type locks. The ones from the Nissan dealer won't fit in the lug opening in the wheel, they are too big(at least on the Tantrums). Try the Gorilla's from Discount Tire. They work great on my Tantrums.

Gorilla's nuts are not locking nuts

The Gorilla nuts are not locking nuts. Discount Tires gave you the key for the nuts but it is universal. I bet my key would fit your nuts. I have the same thing and I asked the guys at Discount Tires and that was what they told me. Anybody knows if they actually sell locking nuts for the tuner nuts.

Hey Maxima-2,

What's a reverse lug, and what's the brand of the
true locking lugs that you bought?
Do you think you could post the brands of the
2 sets, or perhaps let me know where you bought them?
Thanks!

McGuards and Noname

The true lugs are the McGuards from nissan and the reverse lugs, insted of using a wrench which goes over the lug (i.e. normal lugs?gorillia NUTZ) you insert a large Hex key for lack of a better term into the center of the lug to crank it down in otherwords there is a hole all the way through they look like sockets! hope this helped!
