front axel bearing

Anyone had the nut holding the hub assembly on the right passenger front ever come loose? Mine loosened up in January, took to dealer and he said is was ok, after I tightened it. It happened again last night, and have a grinding noise. I checked the brake pads, not at the wear indicators yet, but the nut was loose, and up against the cotter pin.
So I tightened the nut, and have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow in the A.M. I told him he will probably have to replace the CV joint, as it is always grinding now. No rips in the boot, and all is well on the outside. Since I brought this to him before, I am hoping it will be a simple swap, car is still under warranty. Anyone else have this happen?

Your axle nut keeps loosening up? That shouldn't happen since it should be staked to the drive axle. Are you sure that they/you properly staked it after you torqued it down.

I tightened it as good as I could with a channel locks. I took it in to have the dealer torque it to whatever the spec was for it. The cotter pin that holds it for safety is about 1/4 inch away from the face of the nut, and it loosens up to that pin.
I am not sure of what you mean staked? could you expand further?
