Battery relocation to trunk?

Battery relocation to trunk?
Has anyone relocated the battery to the trunk? This is the current production configuration in my BMW M6, and I think it has +/- for our Maxima.
On the plus side:
1)Weight redistribution.
2)Frees up a lot of space to build a cold air box vented to the bottom of the car.
On the negative side:
1)New long cable required to the front.
2)May require a higher amperage battery for the new long cable.

Don't forget about possible battery gases accumulating in the trunk/passenger cabin (through the fold down seats) which would normally vent to the outside air under the hood.
