2001 SE AE wheels?

I have some 2001 SE anniversary edition wheels. My question is how do you clean your wheels? Because they look to be polish and i don't know how to clean them correctly... look like a dumb question but i really need advice on this.

Use something like Eagle One to wash them with (it breaks down the brake dust)... then follow it up with a little bit of a tire product for shining your rims... or use some Zaino or Zymol wax.

How dirty are they? Since they have basically what looks like a thick 'clear coat' I have found them to be very easy to clean over the past 2 years. I just wash the car then as a last thing before I toss the bucket full of 'soapy' water, I just grab another sponge and wipe them down. Never had to hard scrub or anything.

i only use wheel cleaner when there is alot of brake dust on them which is rare because i am always wiping them down. the only thing i clean them with car wash after the car is done and twice a month i wax them and they shine like they were new. another thing to make them shine after cleaning is a product called never dull.

They're not full of brake dust, it's just because i was thinking if i need to polish them with a metal polish. I was not sure about the " clear coat" but now it's ok, wash and wax!

Thanks for all your advices!!

Here's how I clean my 2K2 wheels:

wash em with the rest of the car
wipe em dry
2 coats turtle wax

The wax really keeps the crud easily removed. Then just use quik detail or something like that and wipe them down every few days or so. Easy.

I first spary on Meguires wheel cleaner (the stuff in the clear bottle) and then wait a couple of min and then just hose it off. Then I'll polish up the wheel with some kind of liquid cleaner from Black Magic and they come out great.

the wheels are painted silver and clear coate. I just use the same soap I wash the car with and wax, just like the rest of your car. Once waxed the brake dust will come off with light soap and water.

I do not use any wheel cleaners because SOME of them can strip and damage the finish on your wheels (damn turtle wax wheel cleaner)
