That is hillarious! A maxima killing a lightning on the highway? Try racing one! No normally aspriated Maxima even with all bolt ons is going to "kill" a lightning on the highway.

 

An RSX-S would rape a 5th gen auto 3.5L or not on the highway. Stock for stock mod for mod...normally aspirated. A 5spd or 6spd Max is a different story.

are you sure about that man?? it just seems to me that a lightning has a whole h*ll of a lot more torque than a Max, which would enable it to pull hard, anywhere, anytime. we are talking about a supercharged 5.4 here

 

i'd like to see someone race a 2004 Lightning when they come out.
over 500hp, with even more torque.
a friend of mine has a 2000 Lightning and said that he wouldn't race me in my 2000 maxima if i was supercharged (which is on my list of things to do in the near future).
what does anyone think? is it a possibility that i could beat him? i don't know what kind of numbers a 5 spd supercharged 5th gen is capable of. anyone?

 

I don't know about "raping", but I think it would come down to driver. BTW I am a 6 speed.

 

It all depends really... You cant make that claim, you dont know who has what done to his car. A while back some1 here by the name of Hogan had a 2K auto but was very well on par, and in some cases faster then 2K2 max's. He had some things in his car that no1 had, but that was N/A vs N/A. With the 100hp shot of nitrous that "auto" was a mid-low 13sec car. Not too shabby for a 4dr auto is it.
