Can you guys please post pics of your wheel and specify the size, tire size, offset and drop in the rear. I'm thinking of running 245/45/18 w/ a 35 offset on H&Rs and I wanna see how far others have pushed it.

 

You are very lucky dude.. I was in your shoes not too long ago asking the exact same question, basically.. I never got a really accurate answer and I think I goofed up my tires order because of it...

In any event, let me tell you like it is know that I KNOW FOR A FACT what this will be like..

First off, the 35 offset is badass.. you will not rub even with a 2.0" drop! This is on 18 x 8.5s with 235/40/18s.. Speaking of, I wished I had gotten 245s or 255s even!!!

I ended up getting Maxspeeds but ALMOST got the H&Rs (just so much cheaper, couldn't pass it up)..

The Maxspeeds are SLIGHTLY lower (very slightly) so it is a fair comparison, but dude I am tellin ya - you could get the Teins and you won't rub -- BUT BEWARE if you want to keep stock shocks, stick with Progress, H&R, or Maxspeeds.. (I am on stock shocks and it's fine).

So in heindsight, I would go with as wide tires as you want -- FYI 18 x 8.5 with 235s looks a little odd (lip practically sticks out further than rubber) but it's ok.. I'd just go wider if I had the chance again (will in probably a year or so)..

I went with Kumho tires btw.. Much cheaper and I've run on them all my life and love them to death -- awesome in wet weather, too!!

Are you kidding? Why would 18" wheels NOT clear "big brakes"?

Last I checked most "big brake" kits were no more than 14" rotors..

How big you planning on going man?

I believe he meant about the offset and it possibly not having enough clearance for the larger calipers.

 

Springs : Eibach - drop in rear is about 2" (Eibachs are lower in the rear than advertised)
Offset : +35mm
Tires: 235/40/18
