the werdiest thing......there was this burnt smell from the air vents after i reversed about two car lengths up a small incline to park......i did a visual check and couldn't find anything like plastic/wire touching any hot metal parts......no plastic bag under the car either....any ideas?

 

Do you have a stick? Maybe some clutch burning?

 

 

yep, 5sp...and that's exactly what my wife said! and some people think that women don't know much about cars! ok, now is that something serious and be concerned about or no big deal....

 

I would think if it was for a short period of time and not a repetitive thing (like you park on the same hill everyday, etc.) that the concern should be minimal.

 

Weird the same thing happned to me this morning after school. Backing up into my drive way. For a sec I thought it was the clutch but I didnt even ride the clutch just up the drive way and turned the car off.
