Are Raybeston Quiet Stop brake pads good replacement?
I am getting new front break pads soon and was thinking to get something different from stock. I can get stock ones for about $50 for a front set. And I don't want to spend more than that.
I found Raybeston Quiet Stop at my local PepBoys. Are those pads any good? I am not sure how much they go for, but I would think it should be near $50 as well.

Maybe I should just get stock pads.
Also anybody has a good instructions on how to change front pads. I heard it is pretty easy, I just dopn't want to mess up things.

Raybestos QS pads are excellent! No noise, 67% less dust than OEMs and stop great. www.Rockauto.com has the fronts for $42.06 plus shipping, Pep Boys gets $56.95 for them. Part number for 4th gen fronts is PGD653QS. Hope this helps!

I've since used Nissan pads with no squeeling whatsoever. They just wear out really fast.

cool
when I took off my snow tires a few weeks ago, noticed brake pads needed replacing. I tried a new local garage, and asked the garage guy to also check rotors as I was getting fluttering/juddering when braking at highway speeds. He went ahead and replaced all 4 rotors, which I thought might have been a little over the top, but after a few runs on the road, have had no regrets. He put on a set of 4 Raybestos rotors along with the QS pads. Totally awesome..the car brakes like a brand new BMW or Mercedes. Here's hoping they hold up for the long haul

Fellas, the reason I am concerned about possible squeeling is because I've used aftermarket pads before and have been very unsatisfied with the results. Unfortunately I don't remember the manufacturer of the pads. I do, however, remember how much they cost. It was around $90 something dollars for a shop to just replace the front pads. Since this is right around the price range of the QS's, I, well, I don't mean to say I'm skeptical, but... you get the idea.

I also just found this other brand called Satisfied on TireRack for 2002 Maxima. Here is the link: http://tirerack.com/brakes/satisfied...rform+OEM+Pads
They about $30 for a set so definetly good deal.
Do you guys think these pads any good?
