1. My 2k1 GLE has almost 14k miles on it, and recently i've had to press harder and harder to brake. The brake pedal used to be super sensitive, and now i'm pressing really hard even at stop signs. any idea what needs to be fixed/replaced?

2. How much do you think it would cost to replace my rear bumper? (including installation, painting, whatever)

bumper should be around $500 for parts and labor (including painting)

 

1. Check your brake fluid to see if its low. Sounds like a leak to me. If you have a leak that means you are getting air in the line as well to give it the "spongy" feel making you have to press harder to stop.

2. About $500 as stated before.
