I'm ordering a set of side markers. I have read I need, or I should get, the red bulbs.

Which red bulbs do I need?:

12 Volt 21 / 5 Watts Double Filament Large Push-in Light Bulb
OR
12 Volt 21 / 5 Watts Single Filament Large Push-in Light Bulb

Better yet, which of these stock numbers do I need from autodynamix.com: http://www.autodynamic.com/colored_bulbs.htm

BTW: What is the "manual" being referred to when replacing the side markers?

Thanks!

They are wedge bulbs... small, not big. The package was in Japanses, so I couldn't tell you what to get.

The "manual" is your owner's manual. It comes with the car.

When I changed mine I looked at the stock bulb and it was a 194 bulb. So, I got the OptiBlue 194/168 red bulbs. Hope this helps.

Peace...

Yes, I just replaced mine. I got red 194 bulbs at a local auto part store. Also bought the orange ones anticipating those front clears one of these days.

Manual and bulbs

Oh, yeah, I do have an owner's manual. Will a manual come with the bulbs too?

Thanks for information on the bulbs (and the manual). I placed an order for the markers and the bulbs!

When you change the markers..

Read the (Nissan Maxima 2000) owners manual - it tells you how to remove them (page 8-29 I think). I just did mine last week, the harness twists out 1/4 turn and the bulb just slides out. Be careful so you don't mess up your nice car or break the old markers on the way out!

Step light... that'll look neat. Don't have to worry about the fix-it ticket then.
