Gotta hand it to eclipse gs-t's, those cars can be made quick. I had several good runs against one today and it out accelerated me each time... given he had more mods from a rolling start on the other hand, it was more even. We both had mis-shifts tho... i hate that feeling, so bad for tranny!

Yup they sure can be! I have one myself. I'm currently changing out my A/T to a M/T being that my A/T didn't handle the 350 HP I was pushing. I've always love Nissan's and Mitsubishi's so I have love for both.

old body eclipses seem to be the most popular to mod, very aftermarket friendly. i see a lot of ugly ones and just as many nice clean ones on the road. believe me you'll love driving that car with a manual swap, automatics are so lethargic.

Lol. Most turbo'ed FWD cars have the same problems as you all do. No traction. I can say I have that problem. Even with the A/T I had problems, althought it was in the form of wheelhop due to the lag issue. You could do I want I do and run DR's up front all the time.

This is funny i have a 95GST modded, with $8,000 in mods and love my car, but i now want a Maxima. My car is Hella FAST but i am tired of tickets. So I am finally about to pick up a 2003 Glacier pearl SE and keeping my elcipse. Hell its only worth $5500.00 at KBB. I would never sell it for that.

I feel ya. I'm getting ready to sink another 3G's into my car. The swap, new turbo setup, LSD, wel the list keeps going and going. It's an addictive hobby, but it's fun.

AWD means nothing in a rolling race. I have a video of an RSX Type-s catching a new Evo 8 and passsing it on the freeway with both at WOT.

When I see the "t" or the "x", it's usually an indicator to me that I could get my butt handed to me, so I 'opt out' of any challenges.

Well, yeah, I forgot to mention if you 'smell' anything funny or 'hear' the all-familiar whine of a turbo.

Yeah I've pulled my badging as well. But my FMIC kind of spoils the whole suprise thing. I've seen that video many times. He's just like any stupid driver, he didn't know what he was doing. There's one in any crowd. And I have a friend that has an GSX that stays with my other 98 Supra from a roll. Both are low 12's high 11's cars.

Hey man i am just messing with you.... The SAD thing is i have a 95GST with all those mods and am tired of the 3" exhuast noise, the harsh Koni ride and etc.... SO now i am buying a 03SE Maxima Automatic(I Can't believe this). But i am getting older and time to move on...

It's cool. I didn't mean to make it look like I was offended. And I understand what your saying. I love my Dad's 02 Max, it's comfortable to drive and has enough get up and go to suprise many of ricers.

A Civic can put up more of a fight than a 1.8T A4. I raced one at a stoplight. When the light turned green, I was gone while he was still spooling his turbo. This guy was ****ed and flipping me off and yelling at me(I was watching him in my rear view mirror and laughing my *** off) for the next mile until he turned off. He probably had no idea that the Max is that fast but assumed that his overpriced Audi should have won based on price alone.

S4 bi-turbo or V8 would be a different story, though.
