Why do we shave our cars @sses?

The only reason i have is it does look better. I also think it is going in the opposite direction from poeple that put stickers all over their car. We have fast cars so we dont need to "advertise" speed.
My friends said he does not understand why people do it. Does anyone else have their own reasons.

its about keeping the lines of the car clean and unobstructed.....thats why people shave emblems, squirters, molding, etc... all for a "clean look"

I belive some people but stickers on their car cause their stupied other people belive they look nice again that reffers to the stupied part.

But there are a few people that get some parts from companies in exchange for advertising.

In addiaion to those reasons I did it because it's easier to wash and wax. Less work and don't you hate it when you get those little fuzzies stuck in the lettering...

It is in an attempt to pacify our deep needs to shave our own a$$'s...

My '01 is not fast. My '03 is a quick car. My old '02 Z28 was a fast car.

I get your point though.

My 2000 is faster then a Civic with "Type R" emblems a "weed eater" exhaust and a huge spoiler. But stupid people would look at the two and say "wow that civic looks fast so it must be able to kill that maxima"

I can't decide whether to do this or not. I like the way the 5th gens look debadged, except that to me it makes the trunk key hole stand out more since it's the only thing on the right side. And I hate the ugly block letters, I wish they used the older slanted font. My car is white, I remember seeing pix of Kloogy or someone else's white 5th gen debadged and it looked bada$$.

you could take out the key hole and fill it in and paint it to match the body. just use the remote to open the trunk. i was thinking about that. im sure someone here has done it

I actually debadged my Max last weekend and I love the way it looks, not to mention that it is easier to wash and wax. Looks even better now with the Maxima.org chrome license plate bracket on it.
