Need Advice on Creaking Noise
Over this past weekend I installed H&R's with Toks. Ever since I installed I often here a creaking noise when I turn the wheels at low speeds or am in the middle of a tight slow turn like going into a parking space. It sounds like it is coming from the right front of the car.
I looked at the spring and it looks as if it is sitting properly on the strut and and the top hat feels like it is sitting properly. Everything appears to be fine.
Any idea what it could be? Thanks.

Alright, I had my wife stand outside the and confirm the side was the passenger side. I pulled off the wheel checked everything out and tightened everything to spec with my trusty torque wrench.
The noise is still there
Does anybody else have any ides before I pull the whole thing out and remove the top hat to make sure everything is on correctly?

The famous spring noise that plagued us 4th gens for a long time.
There are quite a few things that lead to spring noise.
1) Improper placement of the upper spring perch. The word OUT stamped on it must face out or be in line with the strut lower mounting bracket.
2) Isolation sleves placed in the correct locations.
3) Proper spring seating in the large rubber seats and the seats themselves seated correctly in the upper spring perch.
4) Strut bearings starting to show signs of ware. Those grey bearings need to rotate freely or the spring tends to bind. You can either replace them or open them up carefully and regrease them.
Those were the most common causes of spring noise that us 4th gens delt with for a long time. Some cars are more prone to it then others.

Thanks for the advice. The three bolt pattern on the top hat only goes into the strut tower holes one way, so I think that is ok. I will pull it out tonight and check everything else.

Thanks to all who gave advice. The top hat on wrong. I had to turn it a third of a turn, no more creaking noise.
The thing about the OUT stamped in the top hat should be added to the write up. I didn't see it when I was swapping them out. Now that I don't have to worry about the noise, I can finally really test out my new suspension.
