On my way home from the bars the infamous SES light decides to appear. I have only 23000 miles on the car. Probably a blown MAF. We shall see ...

Actually now that I think more about it I don't think I have the symptoms of a blown MAF. I honestly didn't notice anything wrong with how the car drove. Everything seemed normal.

I'm not sure what would cause the SES light to come on with 23,000 miles while having no obvious problems while driving the car.

I wish I could search since I know this topic has been discussed 1000s of times in the past.

 

Must be like what I had..O2 sensor

 

yea 02 censor won't really effect how the car runs, but does throw a code. I remeber that on my car. It went when the car had somewere under 50k on it. Its under warranty, do u have any mods?

 

no mods... bone stock.

 

i have the same problem... just happened 10 minutes ago... should i just take it into the dealer?.. they'll fix it without giving me crap and trying to blame it on me?

 

Best thing to do is take it to the dealer if it's under warranty. Ther service might be horrible, but it's free..

 

could be also a faulty cat or anythign that has to do with emmisions.

oh, i forgot

did you check the gas cap? (the favorite question of the service guys)

 

yea i checked the gas cap... car runs fine.... but it's just bothering me... and i only have 11k miles on the car... and no engine mods wutsoever

 

My ECU needed to be reprogrammed. Took the technician about 45 minutes and I was back on the road. The ECU was having trouble communicating with the O2 Sensors... no biggie. They fixed it under warrenty.

 

You can search. It's back up
